Blue Moon Rising - Fantasy Art Site
Back to the usual stuff I write about after the previous two posts on video transcoding
I discovered this interesting fantasy art and sci-fi site Blue Moon Rising after Jeff Jones, one of the contributors of Blue Moon Rising, left a comment here a few days ago.
The Artists section of Blue Moon Rising is particularly enjoyable since Jeff’s flair for describing each artist’s style makes it a joy to browse through the section. Much better than what I can possibly write - working on technical manuals has really affected my writing
There’s currently 38 artists featured at the site with at least one new artist (with links to the artists’ sites, of course) being featured every week or fortnight - An assumption from the posting frequency of the articles
I have heard of some of the artists before but there are many other talented artists that I haven’t encountered yet. For people new to the fantasy art scene (like me), Blue Moon Rising is an excellent starting point into the enthralling world of fantasy art (as well as an incredible time-sink). Highly recommended
Five of my favourites (in alphabetic order):

© Beatriz Gonzalez - Obsessed with comic girls, thanks to Martin Abel.

© Chain & Jane - This one reminds me of the Chinese singer Faye Wong

© Hong Kuang - Bizarrely delightful

© Matt Wilson - His steampunk stuff is awesome

© Shu - Dreamy ethereal stuff

Thanks for the love! You’ve got a great collection here, and I’ll be watching for the new artists you uncover that fit my sf/fantasy fetish!
It’s good to see another fellow fantasy art enthusiast around, makes discovering some of the more elusive artists much easier.
Hope to find more great artists on your site soon
