CellFactor: Revolution – Downloads, Artwork & Wallpaper
CellFactor : Resolution, a Reality Engine-based FPS jointly developed by Immersion Games, Artificial Studios and Timeline Interactive, has been released for free download (860 MB) since 8 May 2007.
The game is set in the future where a megacorporation named LIMBO is attempting to create a new world order with its genetically-augmented super-soldiers. Opposing LIMBO is the United Nations GUARD.
The only catch is that to play the single player campaign, a AGEIA PhysX Accelerator card has to be installed in your PC. Players without an AGEIA PhysX card can only play two skirmish levels only – I’m not really sure the two levels are multiplayer-enabled or only against AI bots since I haven’t downloaded the game – the last PhysX-enabled game Ghost Recon : Advanced Warfighter ran like a slideshow on my PC (albeit a very pretty one
Lucky owners of the PhysX cards get to play against other players and AI bots in four LAN multiplayer modes in a total of 5 maps though
If your PC is powerful enough or has an PhysX card, grab the game now from the official site – it’s completely free so there’s nothing to lose here (except maybe your time, heheheh)
For those like me with crappy PCs, you can still enjoy the concept artwork for the three character profiles.

Firstly, we have the more machine than human looking Guardian (which looks like a cross between the Therians in the Rackham sci-fi miniatures game AT-43 and the Strogg in Quake Wars: Enemy Territory)

Secondly, we have the augmented human Black Op supersoldier from the U.N GUARD Unit. Reminds me of the troopers in the anime Jin-Roh

Lastly, we have Bishop – the requisite bald headed genetically-enhanced human female with psionic powers

Above is a render of a Guardian wielding a Acheron rocket launcher in its left hand and a Styx rifle in the right hand (definitely inspired by the M41A pulse rifle in the Aliens movies)
To download these artwork, screenshots and a massive 263 MB XviD-encoded trailer, click on Media Downloads at the top of the site. The screen captures from the video will be updated in another post shortly – here!.
Three wallpapers are also available but you have to click on Home and then click on Downloads in the flash intro that appears. Here’s the one created from a 3D render of the Black Op unit.
