eeshaun & other Asian Artists @ Tiger Translate 2007
I seem to be seeing eeshaun’s work everywhere nowadays
First it was this postbox outside Orchard MRT for STAMP.SG (see below).

Picked up a copy of MAADZINE at the reddot design museum last Sunday at the MAAD (Market of Artists And Designers) and saw more of his illustrations on the fifth and sixth page of the little booklet. The MAADZINE is pretty cool by the way - I’m keeping this little treasure
Now his work is in the Rise gallery (Page 2) of Tiger Translate 2007 (yup, by the Tiger Beer guys), a platform for up-and-coming Asian artists to showcase their work on an international level.
Here’s a preview of his bright and cheerful doodle-like style below.

You can see the actual-sized artwork at eeshaun’s gallery @ Tiger Translate 2007.
Besides eeshaun, there’s a lot of interesting contributions by other Asian artists for the two galleries comprising photography, graphic design, illustration works) at the Tiger Translate site, namely Rise, which attempts to convey Asia as a rising force in arts and innovation as well as Merge, an interpretation of the fusion of Eastern and Western influences and qualities in the world today.
Artwork from Merge have been exhibited in New York whereas works from Rise will be showcased in Berlin this Friday and Saturday. There’s also an upcoming event in Berlin which will feature works from the Gold gallery (accepting submissions currently)
My favorites from Rise other than eeshaun below.

Clockwise from top left:
Khaki Creative / Beijing
Zhao Yuxue (Xiao Xue) / Beijing
Shearnation / Singapore
Boonchai Boonnoppornkul / Bangkok
My favourites from Merge…

Yep, it’s amazing. Unfortunately the damn collection is to be displayed in Berlin
Arrghh!! No chance of seeing them in real life.
Actually it is more than likely you will get to see the work in Asia towards the end of the year. Should be cool..
That’s nice to hear ;). BTW , your site @ http://www.mojoko.net is pretty cool
