Art Friday : Hellgate London’s Hunter Illustration by Alessandro Baldasseroni
A fantastic (and quite old) concept artwork for the upcoming game Hellgate London’s Hunter faction: a group of highly skilled demon hunters armed with conventional yet devastating weapons of war. In this illustration by Alessandro Baldasseroni, a Hunter poses with a downed demon, presumably taken down by a weapon other than the magazine-fed rifle held by the Hunter as the demon has been harpooned/speared in several places (you can’t possibly load a harpoon in a small magazine, can you?).

You won’t find this concept art at the official English , Japanese, and Asian sites for Hellgate London : they haven’t even added the information for the Hunter faction yet
More Hunter goodies from this Korean page where I found the above illustration – 3 high resolution renders of a Hunter modelled by Alessandro and used in one of Blur’s cinematic trailers for Hellgate London.

More artwork and models available at Alessandro’s official website @ www.eklettica.com – including two illustrations of Galactus for Marvel : Ultimate Alliance here and here. (I think Kenny over at The Mediation Chamber would be interested) I believe these illustrations were done for Blur’s trailers for the game.

That’s the way man! That’s how Galactus should have looked like in the movie. Not some black mass of cosmic dust!
Glad you liked it
There’s higher resolution pics at Alessandro’s site or click the links above.
what a find! that first hunter graphic is extraordinary.. exceptional even…..
I just hope that the single player mode would be as good as the online mode – multiplayer games don’t have a good track record for the single player mode except maybe the UT series.
And Elderly, that pic has been up for a while … I just couldn’t find the artist responsible at that time
still makes me go wow, now if i could get me a garage kit model,
you can even sense the weight of his firethrower by the way he’s counterbalancing……
Hi, gnome, there will be (according to Wikipedia) but I’m doubt it will be as good as in the mulitplayer mode.
Remember Diablo II – the single player mode pales in comparison with the mp mode.
And Elderly, there are already toys based on Hellgate London already.
