Games Thursday : Blur Studio - Incredible Cinematic Trailers for Games Part I - Transformers : The Game, Halo Wars, Warhammer 40,000 : Dawn of War

Blur Studio, a visual effects and animation studio based in California, has been crafting some of the best cinematic trailers in video gaming industry.

Warhammer 40,000 : Dawn of War
I first learnt of Blur Studio from their incredible intro trailer for Warhammer 40,000 : Dawn of War back in 2004. After watching this trailer of Space Marines from the Blood Ravens Chapter valiantly sacrificing their lives to wrest an objective from a band of Ork Boyz for close to a 100 times, I became a fan of their work and have been collecting their trailers ever since.

Transformers : The Game

I mentioned in a previous post that the in-game transforming sequences of the Transformers : The Game exhibited really impressive detail. I’m not so sure after watching the transformation in this intro trailer for Transformers : The Game. The action looks so cool in this video that the actual game will probably have a hard emulating its level of detail.

Halo Wars

Cinematic trailer for the upcoming Halo Wars RTS from Ensemble Studios. I don’t really like the Halo franchise a single bit but I found myself enjoying this trailer of a violent clash between the U.N.S.C and the Covenant.
