I agree with you on the weapon balance for the automatic weapons – seems that the effectiveness of burst fire lies in the number of rounds you can fire off which means the Uzi trumps the assault rifle and UMP45 in full auto.

Didn’t use the sawed-off shotgun though – I much prefer the pump-action shotgun for its reloading animation

For The Last Stand, don’t need to search for the .357 Magnum or the Shotgun, but immediately search (the full 12 hours) after that for the UMP45 (bread and butter). Maintain both a high number of Survivors and a constant searching, and you can get to the Barrett — no mobility restriction, and it’s a 10-round semiauto!

I admit I did not like the weapon balance of the automatic weapons, as sadly the damage seems similar enough that the 50-round (??) Uzi is the best automatic, making the M4 Carbine and AK47 (both which are found after it) redundant. I also really could have done without the Sawed-Off Shotgun.

They really have Barrett in the last stand. You need to keep searching after you got the AK47.

Best weapon. Can kill more than 1 zombie with 1 bullet.

Yea, the mission mode was fun to unlock all stuff, I always loved games that allowed unlockable stuff as long they weren’t too difficult

Crimsonland ate up a lot of my time a few years ago. What I really liked was the mission mode (it unlocks your weapons and powerups) because the levels were really well designed. It’s all arena shooter style, but with some twists.
