Military Tuesday : Accuracy International AS50 .50 Semi-Automatic Rifle

This .50 caliber AS50 is another very good-looking rifle from Accuracy International, makers of the AWM (remember Counterstrike?)

This rifle is a semi-automatic unlike the bolt-action AWM and was designed specifically for the Navy SEALs. The AS50 also looks more like a military firearm with the pistol grip, Picatinny rails and the all-black finish. Below are samples of the brochure scans done by Defense Review.

It’s a beautiful piece of work – currently in service with the Navy SEALs.

Lol that gopher comment is funny stuff. This rifle would literally erase a gophers existance from this earth!
But in all seriousness I read an article of a man complaining that the brits are spending millions on a semi auto .50 when they could use a barret M82/M107. What he doesn’t know is that the SEALs requested a rifle built to their specifications for long range interdiction, consistancy and capable of being broke down for transportation.
