Art Friday : Discovering More Art With 2DArtist Magazine
2DArtist magazine and its 3D counterpart – 3DCreative are both digital only magazines published monthly by Zoo Publishing. Lite issues consisting of one third to half of the content of the actual magazine are offered for free download each month. The Lite version of 2DArtists is therefore an excellent starting point to discover interesting artists and artworks especially for laymen like me.
While poring through the back issues recently, I realized that some of the artists showcased here at The Download Munkey have been featured in 2DArtist a long time ago like Martin Abel (Feb 2006 – Page 16), Marek Okon (Jun 2007 – Page 26) and Kai (Imaginary Friends Studio) (July 2007 – Page 16).
Below are some of my favourite artists from the Lite issues. Page references to the Lite version are also provided in case you wish to download the magazine and view the image at their original size. Images are of course copyright of their respective artists and 2DArtist magazine.

i have an e-magz of 2Dartist, it’s the biggest e-magz i have. Around 100 to 200mb for each edition, my pdf foxit is loading quite a while just to render it.
but each edition is really worth it!
You’re a subscriber? I like the galleries pages more than the techniques section but I prefer artwork on paper rather than in electronic format so 2DArtist isn’t really for me
