Art Friday : My Favourite 7 Movie Posters from Internet Movie Poster Awards’ 2007 Archives
IMP Awards (Internet Movie Poster Awards), a site specializing in posters of movies released in te US, have released their nominees and winners for their annual awards which you can view @ www.impawards.com. First discovered this cool site (which purportedly contains over 17,000+ posters images from 1999 to the present) thanks to inertgreymatter.
It’s now time for The Download Munkey’s top seven posters from the 530+ movies in their 2007 archives (sadly there’s aren’t any Hong Kong movies in there with the exception of the movie Election (below) directed by one of my favourite directors Johnnie To)

On to the list

1. The City of Violence – My absolute favourite of all the posters for 2007

2. Aliens vs Predator : Reqiuem – My favourite extraterrestial lifeforms

3. Ghost Rider – Mmm, skulls

4. Shrooms – More skulls. Heh

5. 300 – I love those Corinthian helmets. For an equally bloody gaming experience, I recommend Viva Caligula.

6. Eastern Promises – Interesting tattoos on a not-so-interesting pair of hands. more about those tattoos in Wikipedia

7. Right At Your Door – Reminds me of the Fallout 2 cover art.
View the nominees for IMP Awards’ 2007 Awards or enjoy the other posters in the 2007 Movie Poster gallery.
