Art Friday : Tracking Your Favourite Deviants via RSS
I’m pretty sure such an important function like tracking your favourite deviantART artists via RSS should be present in the gallery for each artist but I still haven’t found any RSS button yet in deviantART yet.
Anyway, just enter the following URL in your RSS reader and substitute XXX with the nickname of your favourite artist and you’ll be notified everytime the artist updates his/her gallery.
http://backend.deviantart.com/rss.xml?q=by:XXX%20sort:time%20-in:scraps
For example, if I want to track the new deviations of the prolific automotive artist Russ Schwenkler (dangeruss.deviantart.com), I would enter:
http://backend.deviantart.com/rss.xml?q=by:dangeruss%20sort:time%20-in:scraps
The subscribed feed in FeedDemon.
You’ll still have to click on each feed item to view the actual piece of art but it’s definitely far more efficient than having to manually check the gallery of each artist daily
