Art Friday : Warhammer 40,000 Dawn Of War : Soulstorm Art Assets
You’ve seen the wallpapers for Warhammer 40,000 Dawn Of War : Soulstorm, now enjoy some of the 3D renders and art assets for Iron Lore’s swansong title posted on the polycount forums. I remember finding it via the fantastic Relic Dawn Of War forums but I just can’t seem to find the exact thread while writing this.
The detail on some of the renders, especailly Asdrubael Vect’s Dais of Destruction is amazing (too bad it’s only 800×600).
Who would have thought that even walls could be works of art?
The icon set for the Sisters of Battle. The Canoness and the Seraphim icons are my favourites.
If you haven’t got the game yet and you don’t own the original game or the previous Winter Assault or Dark Crusade expansion packs, it’s a must-buy IF you’re mainly into single player gaming since attempting to complete the campaign with 9 distinctly different races is going to keep you occupied for a very long time 
BTW, Soulstorm is copy-protected by Sony’s SecuROM – it’s irritating but nothing compared to EA’s efforts in this field.

Hmm, for hosting, it depends on what you’re looking for – I consume over 30 GB bandwidth per month so asmallorange.com would actually work out to be more expensive than Dreamhost

Same here – I usually write up my posts for the week during the weekend and schedule them for the coming week as I’m currently in krunchtime mode at work.
You can just imagine how Soulstorm wrecks my writing schedule on the weekends
