Yes of course there were. The US was using Harley’s and Indians. Mainly the duties were with the Military Police. Because of what we would call primitive communications the dispatch riders were the backup. Same as during the Great war.
Trying to find those memories is the challenge, they are out there.

Hi Barry, haven't seen one but found a couple of links on the use of motorcycles in WWI. A memoir of a despatch rider, Adventures of a Despatch Rider by W. H. L. Watson on Project Gutenberg and an article titled The first Yank and Harley-Davidson to enter Germany. 11/12/18. Sorry I'm not much of a help here - didn't know that motorcycles were used by the armies of WWI.
