Games Thursday : Deadhunt – Zombies, Zombies and More Zombies!
Imagine being confined at the Stonehenge together with a host of ugly zombies. That’s exactly what you get in Deadhunt, an rather old (2005) FPS by indie developers REL Games. Oh, you get to shoot and run around in circles a lot too.

The first demo scenario Rewards starts off easy enough with a few zombies rising from their undead slumber and loping slowly and awkwardly in your general direction. Before long, you’ll start to make a run for it as larger groups of zombies start popping up on your radar approaching from every direction. And after a minute or so, you’ll turn back and behold an entire army of angry (and probably very hungry) zombies hot on your heels. Magnificently golden armoured ones in the lead are closely followed by zombies protected in all sorts of leather and metal armour and carrying wicked looking scythes, maces, swords, battle axes and whatnot.

Some of the zombies just won’t stay put – shooting off a limb or half the head still doesn’t make them any less eager to clobber you into a bloody pulp – like this damn zombie below with a massive two-handed sword and half a head shot off.

Armed with only a single weapon – usually a pathetic submachine gun or a shotgun) against this multitude of hungry undead, it’s only a matter of time before you’re overwhelmed and brought down. Grenades, powerups and runes (permanent powerups) might provide for a slightly longer stay in this accursed place though

Looks fun for a while. I think the demo would be enough to last me though!
Does the game ever have an end..?
The demo scenarios doesn’t really end – at least I haven’t survived long enough to see any ending
