Counterstrike Weapons (II) - Brügger & Thomet MP9 (Formerly Steyr TMP)

The Brügger & Thomet MP9 is a sleek-looking submachine gun (+ accessories like suppressor, tactical light and scope) designed by the Swiss company Brügger & Thomet AG in 2001. Found this SMG while looking through DS Arms’s online store here for firearms pics. (Apparently, it’s sold in the US as TP9).

This 9mm submachine gun is a redesign of the Steyr TMP by Brugget & Thomet after they bought over the patents, drawings and production rights from Steyr. The MP9 belongs to the machine pistol category first coined by the Germans in 1935 i.e a bigger-sized pistol with some of the properties of a submachine gun, e.g foldable stock for shoulder firing, fully automatic or burst fire. Larger photos, brochures and manuals are available at Brugget & Thomet’s official site.

Other Counterstrike weapons:

(III) - Steyr Aug A3
