Games Thursday : E3 2007 Goodies - Killzone 2 Trailer
The pre-rendered cinematic for Killzone 2 was really jaw-dropping stuff when it was shown during E3 2005. Fast forward to 2007 and the in-game engine rendered video during E3 doesn’t disappoint either. For PS3 only

The in-game video actually looks better than the pre-rendered cinematic in several places especially the bullet impacts and the burning animations.

The city that the ISA and Helghast were fighting over in the 2005 trailer (first pic) seems 10x darker and more sinister in 2007 (second and third pics). Or maybe it’s just the video quality :p

The curious thing is that despite the advances in military technology, infantry still have to slug it out with conventional weapons - the ISA are using what seems to a modified bullpup M4 with an attached M203 and the Helghast are using assault rifles which looks suspiciously like the French FA MAS. Do I sense a conspiracy against the French here?
