I’ve been regularly visiting this site starting from a few weeks back for their almost daily WTF photos (WTF in this case stands for What’s the Firearm and not the other WTF) And also, despite the name Airborne Combat Engineer, this site isn’t solely about Airborne troops or Combat Engineers per se; it’s more of a mix of security news, US politics and of course, firearms. Ich habe regelmäßig Besuch auf dieser Website ab ein paar Wochen wieder für ihre fast täglich WTF Fotos (WTF in diesem Fall steht für Was ist die Waffe und nicht die anderen WTF) und auch, trotz des Namens Airborne Combat Engineer, diese Webseite geht es nicht ausschließlich darum Airborne Truppen oder Combat Engineers per se, es ist eher eine Mischung aus Sicherheits-News, US-Politik und natürlich Schusswaffen.
The What’s the Firearm photo is basically an edited photo of a real-life firearm where markings have been removed and readers have to guess the make of the weapon. Der Was ist der Schusswaffe Foto ist im Grunde ein bearbeitetes Foto eines realen Waffe, wo Markierungen entfernt worden sind und die Leser haben zu erraten, die sich von der Waffe. Kind of reminds me of those aircraft recognition guides, but for firearms in this case. Art erinnert mich an jene Flugzeuge Anerkennung Führer, sondern auch für Feuerwaffen in diesem Fall. Featured in yesterday’s WTF photo is a lavishly gold-plated submachine gun. Sehenswert in der gestrigen WTF Foto ist ein reich vergoldet Maschinenpistole.

Take the one above (taken from WTF 01 May 2007 ) for instance. Nehmen Sie die oben (aus WTF 01. Mai 2007) zum Beispiel. Amateur firearm enthusiasts like me can probably identify it as the Ingram Mac-10 (like the one in Counterstrike) with a reflex sight, a huge suppressor and a really long magazine! Amateur Feuerwaffe Enthusiasten wie mich identifizieren kann wohl als der Ingram Mac-10 (wie in Counterstrike) mit einem Reflex den Augen, ein riesiges Schutzbeschaltung und eine wirklich lange Magazin! but there were commenters who could actually identify it as a Mac 11 variant known as MPA-30. aber es gab commenters, könnte tatsächlich identifizieren ihn als 11 Mac-Variante bekannt als MPA-30.

Or this firearm held by Indonesian President Dr Yudhoyono. Oder dieser Waffe im Besitz von Dr. indonesische Präsident Yudhoyono. I actually thought it was an M-16. Anyway, highly recommended for anyone who considers himself/herself a firearm enthusiast. Wie auch immer, sehr empfehlenswert für jeden, der sich selbst eine Feuerwaffe-Fan.
