CheyTac M-200 in Shooter
Finally found the name of the olive drab coloured rifle used in the trailer for Shooter starring Mark Wahlberg, from a comment made by Frank at www.themovieblog.com.

It’s a .408 CheyTac M-200 Intervention designed for long-range anti-personnel duties and is accurate to beyond 2km. The specification PDF on the current M-200 page points to a PDF for the M-200C variant which is slightly more compact and lighter (and frankly looks much better too). The correct link for the M-200 should be here (direct link) if anyone’s interested.
The other black-coloured sniper rifle shown in the trailer could be a CheyTac LER 308 or a Remington 700 variant like the US Army M24 or USMC M40.

upon first sight, I was reminded of FN Herstal’s PGM Mini-Hecate model, though the latter has a slightly more elaborate stock (as opposed to that dubious-looking extending rod in M-200). The Hecate also spots a relatively huge muzzle-brake.
One thing that I do not like is the sight of that suppressor. IMHO, a sniper rifle, in all its true glory and power, shouldn’t be suppressed. That would adversely affect the weapons range. But of course, suppression could be tolerated under certain tactical requirements.

Check out the above 2 links for more info, btw it’s quite a decent site for firearms. Oh yes, sub-MOA accuracy at 2++ km for the M-200 is really impressive!

Wow, you really like your rifles
The carrying handle was the distinguishing identification feature.
Yep, I know Modern Firearms by Max Popenker, it’s a nice site
Hoped you enjoyed your visit
It’s actually a copy of the EDM Windrunner rifle.
At 200 yrds the bullet fired from that gun will already have more kinetic energy than a bullet fired from a .50 Cal. Barett
