Found Frank Frazetta’s (a fantasy artist whose uhm, fantastic Trouvé Frank Frazetta (un artiste dont l'imagination uhm, fantastique 
work I recently got acquainted with over at The Lair of the Evil DM ) marvellous painting of the Death Dealer , an armoured horseman with ominous fiery-red eyes (see below) purely by chance quite a while back. travail que je pris connaissance récemment avec plus de à La Lair of the Evil DM) merveilleuse peinture du Death Dealer, un cavalier blindés avec de mauvais augure de feu-yeux rouges (voir ci-dessous) purement par hasard tout à fait un certain temps. This particular painting from 1973 happens to have an article in Wikipedia which is quite a feat for any piece of fantasy art. After seeing this particular artwork, I think I now know where the hulking armoured champions of Chaos in Games Workshop’s Warhammer Fantasy Battles might have been inspired by. Après avoir vu cette œuvre, je crois maintenant savoir où se trouvent les champions hulking blindés de Chaos in Games Workshop's Warhammer Fantasy Battles pourrait avoir été inspiré par. 
As a sidenote, Warhammer Fantasy first came about some ten years after Death Dealer in 1983, this year 2008 being its 25th anniversary. Comme un sidenote, Warhammer Fantasy première fois sur une dizaine d'années après la mort de détaillants en 1983, cette année 2008 étant son 25e anniversaire.
Here I present Adrian Smith’s depiction of Karrig Sturn, Despoiler of Tzeskagrad from the Warhammer : Hordes of Chaos page @ Games Workshop UK (more artworks ) as a comparision. While there are definitely many similarities between the two artworks, I list below the most significant ones. Bien qu'il existe certainement de nombreuses similitudes entre les deux œuvres d'art, je liste ci-dessous les plus importants.
- Both the Death Dealer and Karrig Sturn have sturdy warhorses (although the hind legs of Karrig’s mount seems to be buckling due to the combined weight of both its master and its own armour) in almost similiar poses with bowed heads and gaping mouths Tant le Death Dealer et Karrig Sturn ont warhorses solide (bien que les pattes arrière de la monture Karrig semble être gauchissement dues au poids combiné des deux son maître et sa propre armure) dans la quasi-similaire pose avec incliné la tête et la bouche béante
- Both warriors are wielding vicious axes singlehandedly with their swords still in their scabbards. Les deux guerriers sont brandissant vicieux axes seul avec leurs épées pour toujours dans leur scabbards. They also seem to be staring straight at the viewer but the Death Dealer seems more menacing due to his glowing red eyes. As evocative as they get… Comme évocateurs comme ils…
Which one do you prefer though - I prefer the detail on Adrian Smith’s piece but without colour, Karrig Sturn just donesn’t seem as menacing as the Death Dealer. Lequel préférez-vous bien - je préfère les détails sur Adrian Smith pièce mais sans la couleur, Karrig Sturn juste donesn't apparaître comme menaçant que le Death Dealer.
