This sniper rifle (Third weapon blueprint from the left) is probably based on Accuracy International’s AS50 semi-automatic sniper rifle (see article at Modern Firearms) with a distinctively different buttstock and muzzle brake. This rifle (Fourth blueprint from the left) is possibly influenced by several rifles currently in service around the world, namely the F2000 (Modern Firearms article) (for the front part and grenade launcher), H&K G36 (Modern Firearms article) (for the trigger area and buttstock. It also shares some similiarities with the XM8 (Modern Firearms article) (check out the curves) and the XM29 (Modern Firearms article) (air burst grenade capability). The Kao Studios designers upgraded the main cannon from 120mm to 144mm, redesigned the headlights (looks real sleek now) and replaced the commander’s .50 machinegun with a remotely-controlled turret. The smoke grenade launchers in the real tank have been superseded by the strange system on each side of the turret (probably an active protection system - think an future version of the American/Israeli Trophy or the Russian Arena ).
