Wallpapers for the anime Gurren Lagaan from the cool people at Madman Entertainment, an Australian anime distributor. If you happen to live Down Under (or New Zealand), you actually get to watch full episodes of Gurren Lagaan and other selected anime titles like Fullmetal Alchemist and Mobile Suit Gundam 00 for free!

Frankly, I don’t know much about this anime other than the fact that it features sassy redhead Yoko Littner with a Really Big Rifle™ and outrageously dressed for a sniper (if you can call a markswoman dressed in bikinis and boots with matching flame prints one). First heard of this beautiful lass from a 1/6 figure of a “real-life” Yoko by Max Factory at Kenny’s blog @ The Meditation Chamber.

Wallpapers Wednesday : Tales of Hearts

Tales of Hearts, a Nintendo DS game is unique in having two editions – a CG Movie Edition and an Anime Movie Edition. Accordingly, the wallpapers for Tales of Hearts which feature the game characters are also available in two versions.

Personally I prefer the characters in 2D anime over their 3D equivalents for the little details in each character design – 3D models in games usually have to omit or cut down on these details for the sake of performance.

Wallpapers Wednesday : Project Coo!

A series of wallpapers from Korean art collective, Project Coo!. I don’t know what’s exactly Project Coo! is all about although I do know that the members of this collective include bombay, KEI, laziel, Maggi, milktea, NAKBE, NOX, oro, U’s and Yueciel.

A myriad of styles are represented from the requisite busty female anime character to Maggi‘s hip fashionista (fourth from top) and Yueciel‘s bright pink and saccharinely cute vectors.

Found Project Coo! entirely by chance after visiting Maggi’s Harem from the archives of the Elderly’s now silent Forbidden Forest. If you’ve ever seen the concepts for the MMORPG Granado Espada : Sword of The New World, you’ll definitely recognize her works from the intricate detail of their clothes and elaborate hairdos

Wallpapers Wednesday : Exclusive Hero Saga Laevatein Wallpapers @ GA Graphic

Here’s something different from the often cutesy anime and manga characters on the wallpapers that Japanese website GA Graphic offers for free download every week – a set of six stylish wallpapers for the Nintendo DS game Hero Saga Laevatein.

Illustrated by Hiroyuki Taguchi, these wallpapers are exclusive to GA Graphic only.
