Most Popular Posts for October 2007

Top 3 posts for the month of October 2007 in order of descending page views.

  1. Wallpapers Wednesday : Appleseed : Ex Machina
  2. Create Your Own Graffiti Masterpiece with Graffiti Studio 2.0
  3. Art Friday : DIA Military Art Collections.

I’m pretty surprised that the Graffiti Studio 2.0 post had more pageviews than the other stuff posted this month, considering that it was only posted last Friday :)

That’s it for now, gotta sleep soon :D

A bit late for this but if you can spot the difference between the two snapshots of my links sidebar below, you’ll understand the reason for the delay :)

Need more hints? What about this? :)

Most Popular Posts for August 2007

Can’t believe I’m still writing stuff for this site. This must be one of the longer lasting hobbies I had during these few years :D

Alright, here’s the three most viewed posts for the month of August 2007.

  1. Boxhead : More Rooms (Flash game)
  2. High Resolution Pack for the original Duke Nukem 3D
  3. Onslaught 2 & VectorTD (Flash games)

Seems that Flash games are pretty popular stuff since they are usually quick to pick up with a low learning curve (and hard to put down). Oh, if you want to play them offline, you may find this previous post useful. Part of the instructions were specifically written for the Opera browser but the rest should be applicable for most readers :)

Here’s the top three posts at The Download Munkey for this month:

After I made the decision to switch to Google Analytics last month for stat tracking, Google has to acquire Feedburner and offer the TotalStats feature in Feedburner for free :(

Anyway, below are two reasons why I took out the Feedburner StandardStats tracking code after using Google Analytics.

  1. I can finally get an accurate overview of the most popular pages for the month instead of manually tabulating the stats.
  2. Google Analytics stats tracking server is definitely faster than the Feedburner server. Previously, this blog would sometimes stop loading when attempting to connect to the Feedburner servers.
  3. Google Analytics has more comprehensive statistics as well as the ability to view consolidated stats for any date range. Feedburner StandardStats could only view stats for a single day, the past week or for the current month. TotalStats should have this feature though.

I still miss Feedburner StandardStats’s incoming stats page though - Google Analytics only shows the domain from which your visitors come from but not the actual page on that domain unlike Feedburner.
