Some Soul Calibur III related wallpapers from the Ultimate Fighting System collectable card game (CCG) developed by Sabretooth Games, who also produces Warhammer 40,000 Dark Millenium CCG (Check out the card database in this previous post about Warhammer 40,000 Dark Millenium CCG Card database)

Seven wallpapers featuring the characters from Soul Calibur III (Mitsurugi, Taki, Nightmare, Astaroth, Voldo, Cassandra and Raphael) are available from the Soul Calibur III UFS site in 800×600 to 1280×1024 resolutions.

Two of my favourites : Mitsurugi (I love samurai!) and Cassandra.

Wallpapers for Street Fighter UFS (also by Sabretooth Games) are available from the official Street Fighter UFS site. Wallpaper art for the Street Fighter UFS characters is IMHO much less detailed than Soul Calibur III UFS’s

Just found this excellent wallpaper blog yesterday. I didn’t realize there’s were so many wallpaper fanatics on the .NET.

The collectible card game, Magic: The Gathering (MTG) has a Wallpaper of the Week using art from selected Magic cards. Currently there are 178 wallpapers in the Wallpaper of the Week archive .

Two of my favourites are Devouring Strouss (left) from the the sci-fi Invasion expansion illustrated by D. Alexander Gregory and Hand of Cruelty (right) from the samurai-themed Saviors of Kamigawa expansion drawn by Kev Walker.

Something for the anime fans to browse through for this weekend

Madman Entertainment, an Australian anime distributor has a massive wallpaper archive of the anime that they distribute.

From left to right, top to bottom: Appleseed : The Movie (x2), Burn Up Scramble, Burst Angel (Bakuretsu Tenshi), Chrono Crusade, Full Metal Panic!, Samurai 7, Samurai Champloo, Speed Grapher and finally He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (I watched it when I was a kid - but what’s it doing in the anime wallpapers section, Madman?)

SNK Playmore is the publisher of the popular arcade/console fighting games series King of Fighters(KOF). Two other famous series are the Metal Slug and Samurai Shodown series.

At the official Japanese SNK Playmore site game.snkplaymore.co.jp, you can download wallpapers (up to 1600×1200 resolution) for the King of Fighters series, Samurai Shodown VI, Metal Slug series and a few other games.

The King of Fighters XI wallpapers are pretty cool. I love the character designs for the KOF series :). (19 wallpapers in total showcasing the various characters in the game).
